Truth is The First Casuality of War

I am now watching the GOP candidates debate live on television. They were just asked if they "support the war in Iraq." Whoa! There is so much rhetoric being spewed. Many half-truths, and just outright, fear-mongering lies are being told, especially by Mitt Romney. Incredible.

Mitt Romney is pretty frightening. From some of the things that he says, he seems EVEN MORE out of touch with reality than G.W. Bush--if you can imagine that!

Last night, in the debate, Romney said something to the effect that if U.S. forces leave Iraq, that Sunni, Shi'ite, AND Al-Qaeda would join forces, and then attack the U.S. -- which is completely absurd!

Has Romney consulted with ANY expert on the Middle East--specifically Iraq?

It's my clear understanding--from people who are actually well-studied on Iraq-- that if the U.S. leaves Iraq, the Sunnis and Shi'ites would finish off Al-Qaeda.

What part of "this is a civil war," does he not get?
