Suppose that I'll have to post more STG songs...so that you don't mis-judge a band, based on only one song.
This is the only STG song where the female vocals sound "Human-Leaguesque." (Which isn't a bad thing, actually!)
All of the songs on their "We are Pilots" album sound quite different from one another. In one song, they sound a bit like "The Outfield," from Oz. (Yes, vintage 80's, again.)
Last night, they even did a cover of a Depeche Mode song--and it was terrific!
STG is an LA band with an ecclectic, yet unique, rock/electronica sound. Their fan-base is also rather ecclectic--and quite loyal. FYI: STG will be touring in the UK, very soon.
Also worth mentioning, "The Hourly Radio," a band out of Dallas, Texas, opened for STG, and they were quite good. We met the lead singer afterwards, and shook hands...and I chided him for being from "Bush Country."
